Are you interested in joining the Iowa Veterans Home team as a volunteer? We accept volunteers 12 years and older. Volunteers are assigned based on the facility's needs and the volunteer's area of interest.

Guardian/Conservator
If you are 18 or over and able to become more involved, we are looking for volunteers who are willing to take on the legal role of a Guardian and/or Conservator. Sometimes a resident does not have a legal representative to help them when they are no longer able to make their medical decisions or financial decisions. A Guardian assists with medical decisions and a Conservator assists with financial matters. Please reach out to our Resident Finance office at 641-753-4392 if you are a motivated individual willing to take on one of these roles.
Make a Monetary Donation
You can make a tax-deductible donation to different funds within the Iowa Veterans Home to help the community in different ways. Our funds include the Recreation Fund, Christmas Fund, and General Memorial Fund.
