2025 Veterans Day on the Hill

The Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs is hosting our annual Veterans Day on the Hill in the State Capitol Rotunda, Jan. 22nd, from 9 a.m.to noon, with speakers starting at 10 a.m. 

Media are invited to attend. We plan for a traditional in-person, public event, with about 30-45 minutes of speakers. It will also be broadcast state-wide and recorded on our facebook page at facebook.com/IowaDepartmentofVeteransAffairs. After the ceremony, veterans are strongly encouraged to meet with their elected representatives to discuss the Veteran 2025 Legislative Initiatives. 

Veteran-related vendors seeking to request table space at the event may fill out this application and follow the instructions.

WHO: Veterans from across Iowa; Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds; Key Legislative Leaders on Veterans Affairs; Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs Commandant, Todd Jacobus; Iowa Commission on Veterans Affairs Leaders; Iowa-related Military Leaders; Iowa Departments and agencies providing veteran-focused programs, and independent veteran service organizations and non-profits.

WHEN: Wednesday, January 22nd, at 9 a.m., ceremony at 10 a.m.
